²⁶ Look at the birds of the air, for they do not sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? ²⁷ Who among you by taking thought can add a cubit^[a] to his stature?

²⁸ “Why take thought about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: They neither work, nor do they spin.
